Student Registration FAQ*
Q) Can I pay a deposit now, and pay the rest when I arrive?
A) You can pay just the deposit until December 5th, but you need to make your final payment online by midnight on Decemeber 28th. We will accept final payment on site, but we will charge you a $25 late fee to do that.
Q) If I decide not to go to SALT after I have registered, can my registration fee be refunded?
A) No, all registration and deposits are nonrefundable.
Q) How are roommates assigned?
A) Each student may enter a roommate code that your other 3 roommates will also enter. Roommate codes are a random phrase or word that you and your roommates come up with. Generally we will try to keep people from the same campus together in rooms. Roommate codes are only available during early bird registration. After that we try our best to room within same university, then state, lastly random.
Q) Can AALC and none AALC attendees room together?
A) No. Due to rooming restriction we will house all AALC attendees together throughout AALC and Salt.
Q) When will I find out who I am rooming with?
A) It is a surprise! You will find out when you meet them in your room.
Q) What will the rooms be like?
A) The hotel rooms will have 2 Queen size beds and one bathroom. It will be shared by 4 students in most cases.
Q) What if I arrive after the designated check-in time?
A) Go to the Registration Table.
Q) If I pay on site, what forms of payment can I use?
A) Credit/Debit Card
Q) If I don't like my roommates can I change rooms?
A) No

A) You can click on the Final Payment registration button on the registration page on our website.
Q) What should I do if I receive an error message or my card won't work?

Q) Can I stay in a room with my students?
A) No
Q) Can I pay a deposit now and the rest later?
A) Yes, the deposit is 50% of the registration cost.
Q) If I pay the deposit, when and how do I pay the remaining balance.
A) You can click on the Final Payment registration button on the registration page on our website.
Q) There are more than 4 members of my family and we need more bed space. What should I do?
A) We may be able to get a roll away bed, allow you to reserve an adjoining room, or offer other accommodations for your family. Email: southeastsaltxa@gmail.com
Q) My kids are older and are not participating in Kids SALT. Do I need to fill out the Kids SALT form?
A) Yes, we need information for every person who will be staying with us at SALT.
Q) Can I share my room with just 3 other staff?
A) No, you can choose to have 1 roommate when you register as individual staff.
Q) Can I request an early check in time or late check out time?
A) You can contact the hotel directly and ask for early check in but is not a guarantee.
Q) If I am not sure if my spouse or kids plan to attend SALT, can I add them to my registration on site.
A) Only if you registered for a private room you may add your kids or spouse to your registration by emailing southeastsaltxa@gmail.com by midnight December 28th.
